" Even the best falls down sometimes "
I am now in my cold office eating my salad... it just feel so relax... i am seemingly having a holiday. Not bad at all considering i am all wired up and get a good nice seat and also quite a substantial amount of room space.
The pantry of my office is not really stocked up, but coffee, lipton tea and milo are still available, but i got to resists too much milo as that really makes all my ulcers comes up. Oh yea.. forget to introduce the salad that i am munching on, oblivious of the sound i am creating in my office as i am plugged in to free radio at Paradora.com... life is about music man!
The salad has a name which i momentarily forget... will check out again and let you guys know. Its from NUS arts canteen and the vendor is so generous lo.. giving me quite a big portion all for a dollar. So wats in it you might ask.. it has green and red apple with topping of raisins and bacon bits and some celery or greenie vegetable.. its a mixture of refreshing and sourish taste which is real good for keeping me away. yep yep.
Talking about NUS canteens... i must say the NUS peep are really fortunate as they have good and cheap food littered all around their school and the stuff there are like half price compared to SMU la... so its like my dollar suddently increased in double fold its value when i cross over to NUS for lunch. SMU is just like the branded Singapore where NUS can only content to be the poor neighbour (M'sia) HAAA.. it all make sense doesn't it? With all the exchange rate difference etc.
I must say i like eating at NUS, especially with the miserable pay i am getting out of my internship. Though finances is tight in tat sense, i will never save on my daily doze of news --- The new paper! Today was a raining cat n dog day, but my gang still pressed on and went to NUS for lunch la.. and there was 5 of us.. 3 umbrellas.. so guess wat? Becos of my body mass, i get to hold 1 umbrella myself haa... Thank God for that!
So i ate japanese food (salmon and teriyaki chicken set for just $4) and soya bean milk for whAT?? 45cents... haa.. din have my camera with me if not will post up the pictures... thats not the highlight of the day though.. read on to find out...
So after having my fill and making sure my tummy dun spill out of my light blue G2000 shirt, i make my way to the drink stall again.. just before heading to take a feeder bus back to work place... and no i am not getting another drink but rather eyeing for my new paper.
OH NO!!! i thought to myself... at 12.45pm, the newpaper has yet to arrive and i guess it must be due to the rain ba.. so i was thinking...so suay.. no newpaper to read in office when i am bored. haiz...
After enquiring from the drink stall man, which confirms the delay due to the rain, i reluntanly turned and went with my friends to the bustop.. just when i have walked about 15m away from the store, the stall owner came running after me with the paper and handed me one copy la...
I was like... so super impressed with his dedication or rather.. his customer service attitude. Cos its just a 70cent paper in which they do not earn much lo... but he still ran all the way after me.. so i am impressed and at the same time blessed. : ) Thank God for the man and NUS for such nice experience...
Treasure what you have and look out for people and places that you might collide from your day to day life. ciao and take care folks.
